About Sonia M. Frontera

Sonia M. Frontera has been practicing law since 1995. Her diverse background includes work as corporate in-house counsel, government, and immigration and family law. A caring and compassionate lawyer, she is committed to helping families navigate the challenges of the immigration system, and to helping couples get through the divorce process with dignity and respect. She is also a certified arbitrator, and has experience mediating disputes for the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, the Special Civil Part in Monmouth County, and Municipal Court in Hillsborough Township.

Sonia is an active member of the community, and volunteers as an immigration lawyer for El Centro of Catholic Charities in Trenton and the Migrant Center in New York. She also volunteers as a Financial Empowerment Trainer for Spanish-speaking domestic violence survivors assisted by SAFE in Hunterdon in Flemington.

She is proficient in Spanish and French, and has studied abroad at the University of Madrid in Spain and the University of Strasbourg in France.

When not working in legal matters, Sonia enjoys cooking, knitting and spending quality time with her husband and rescue dog at their country home.
